Sleepless in Havasu is more than an event—it’s a powerful community experience dedicated to raising awareness, hope, and support for those affected by breast cancer.
Beginning at 6:00 a.m. on Friday and continuing through 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, participants will take on the challenge of staying awake for 24 hours, united by a shared purpose. Teams will be assigned beds throughout our showroom and encouraged to transform them into creative displays inspired by breast cancer awareness, hope, courage, and survivorship.
This year's theme is Patriotic Pride, honoring the strength, resilience, and unity that define both our nation and the courageous individuals impacted by breast cancer. Teams are encouraged to decorate their beds in red, white, and blue while incorporating meaningful breast cancer awareness elements that celebrate hope, freedom, and the spirit of coming together for a greater cause.
What makes Sleepless in Havasu truly special is the direct impact it has on our community. Every dollar raised stays local and helps provide FREE mammogram screenings for individuals who may not otherwise have access to this potentially life-saving service. Early detection saves lives, and through your support, more people will have the opportunity to receive critical breast health screenings.
Cancer Care Resource is proud to partner with Renee Hudson's Pink Radio Event to ensure that support extends beyond the initial screening. If a mammogram reveals an abnormal finding and additional testing is needed, this partnership helps connect individuals with the resources and assistance necessary to continue their diagnostic journey. Together, we are working to remove barriers to care and provide hope, support, and access when it matters most.
Throughout the event, participants will enjoy interactive activities, entertainment, friendly competitions, and opportunities to connect with others who are passionate about making a difference. The energy, creativity, and dedication displayed throughout the night serve as a powerful reminder that no one fights cancer alone.
At its heart, Sleepless in Havasu is about building a community of support. Among us are courageous individuals currently battling cancer, survivors whose strength inspires us every day, caregivers offering unwavering love, and families standing beside their loved ones through every step of the journey.
Together, we celebrate resilience, honor those we have lost, support those who are fighting, and raise vital funds that provide access to screenings, follow-up care, and hope for those facing uncertainty. Through compassion, connection, and community, we create a lasting impact—one sleepless night at a time.

Join us for the Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Walk in Lake Havasu City, proudly hosted by Cancer Care Resource in partnership with the Heidi Edwards Cooking for Cancer Foundation. Each year, our community comes together to celebrate survivors, honor loved ones, support those currently facing breast cancer, and raise awareness for a cause that impacts so many families.
Beneath the iconic London Bridge, we will once again create a vibrant River of Pink, symbolizing hope, courage, resilience, and unity in the fight against breast cancer. This inspiring event welcomes participants of all ages and abilities as we walk together along the beautiful channel, demonstrating that every step matters in the journey toward a future free from breast cancer.
More than just a walk, this event is an opportunity to stand together as a community and support vital programs that provide life-saving services, including free mammograms, cancer screenings, patient navigation, and financial assistance for individuals undergoing treatment. Every participant, sponsor, volunteer, and donor helps make these services possible for local families in need.
Whether you are walking as a survivor, supporting a loved one, remembering someone special, or simply raising awareness, your presence makes a meaningful difference. Together, we honor stories of strength, celebrate victories, and bring hope to those who need it most.

America the Beautiful Fashion Show,
an unforgettable evening celebrating patriotism, hope, courage, and community at the London Bridge Resort Convention Center.
This patriotic-themed event brings together local models, survivors, supporters, and community members for a night of fashion with a purpose. As we honor the beauty and strength of America, we also celebrate the resilience of those impacted by breast cancer and other cancers throughout our community.
Every ticket purchased, sponsorship secured, and donation received helps support the vital programs provided by Cancer Care Resource. Operating under the Heidi Edwards Cooking for Cancer Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, 100% of the funds raised remain right here in Lake Havasu City to support local individuals and families facing cancer.
Most importantly, every dollar raised through this event helps fund FREE mammogram screenings for individuals in our community who may not otherwise have access to these potentially life-saving services. Early detection remains one of the most powerful tools in the fight against breast cancer, and your support helps remove financial barriers to care.
Cancer Care Resource is also proud to partner with Renee Hudson's Pink Radio Event, helping ensure that individuals who receive an abnormal mammogram have access to additional diagnostic testing and support when further evaluation is needed. Together, these programs provide a pathway to early detection, treatment, hope, and healing.
